I always do small preliminary sketches before choosing a subject - I've included a few more detailed sketches here to give you a 'feel' for my preparatory work. I teach this on my workshops. I've also done many demonstrations to art clubs around Ireland, as well as held workshops overseas in the South of France, Umbria and Sardinia
